My Microsoft Career
I love TV and I was totally absorbed in DVR Scheduling for 10 years. You'd tell your TV what programs you wanted to record.
And the TV would record those. I was all about that and all about the entire TV experience.
In and around TV experience I filed for something around 3 dozen patents, 13 have been issued as of Nov 2009.
My last product was IPTV, aka Mediaroom, aka AT&T's Uverse product. AT&T's recent ad campaign
included a commercial that focused on some of the functionality that I created.
My first product was Dishplayer, a standalone satellite receiver/DVR for Dish Network.
My second product was UltimateTV, a standalone receiver/DVR for DirecTV. This product
has a lot of promise but MS decided that a standalone receiver wasn't in its long term interests.
I then went on to work on the Media Center Edition of Windows (catchy name... not!).
